Salon Policy
Salon Policy.
As a salon we are insured by BABTAC and care about our client’s wellbeing both prior to, during, and after treatment. We would therefore ask that you read our terms and conditions below, so that we may ensure that you will enjoy your treatment and visit to the salon. Thank You.
Patch Testing
For your own health and safety and to comply with salon policy, patch testing for eyelash, eyebrow tinting, henna, lamination and lash lift treatments, must be carried out at least 48 hours prior to treatment.
This policy applies to all clients of The Beauty Box, even if you have had this test carried out previously at another salon.
In certain circumstances (sensitive skins, some medications) patch testing for waxing and gel nails may also be applicable, please ask for further details.
Cancellations
As a small business the effects of clients not showing for an appointment or cancelling at the last minute can be extremely detrimental to the salon. To keep the salon running smoothly and in fairness to other clients we would greatly appreciate at least 24 hours notice of any cancellation or alterations to any appointments. We understand emergencies and situations beyond your control can sometimes happen, but it is very difficult to fill an appointment last minute with little/no notice. For clients who, on a regular basis do not show for an appointment and/or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the salon strictly enforces payment up front for future appointments. A charge of 50% of the treatment may be incurred or the full amount if the slot cannot be rebooked.
Medication
If you are taking medication, are postoperative, pregnant or have a medical condition, it is advisable that you consult your doctor before embarking on any treatment or programme. Certain medical conditions may preclude you from having some of the treatments.
Children
With regret due to health and safety regulations, please consider making other arrangements for your children when you come for your treatment. A salon is not the safest place for a child, since hot tools, very sharp objects, and chemicals are in regular use. Our therapists are unable to carry out your treatment if they also need to keep an eye on child safety. We as a salon want to ensure that both you and our other clients receive a relaxing treatment. Therefore, if on arrival at salon for treatment, you have children with you, your treatment will need to be cancelled – this is for the benefit of your children and all clients. We thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.
Allergies
If you have any allergies, particularly to nuts, seafood or wheat, please advise us at the time of booking as some of our oils are not suitable, we can then advise you on an alternative oil and treatment.
Nail & Foot Issues
Please note we are unable to proceed with any nail/foot treatments if you suffer from athlete’s foot, verruca, warts or fungal infections.
Waxing
We do not recommend any waxing or facials directly before or after any form of heat treatment.
Manicure Nails
We suggest that you pay for your nail lacquer manicure prior to your treatment to avoid any damage to your polished nails. And also advise you remember your flip flops to wear after your pedicure.
Prices
All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate and are subject to change without prior notice. The range of treatments is subject to availability.
Your file
During consultation, you agree to keep your personal record held by the salon updated with your full contact details – which will enable us to contact you in the event of any change relating to your appointments. Where possible, please provide both landline and mobile telephone numbers.
Privacy policy
We will treat all your personal information as confidential. We will keep it on a secure server, and we will fully comply with all GDPR and consumer legislation.
