Massage is used to maintain physical health as well as inducing relaxation. It helps to alleviate the build up of stress and tension in the muscles from every day use. We use three massage techniques – Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage and Lava Shell Massage.
Swedish Massage
The Swedish massage technique is specifically aimed to relax your muscles, as the main purpose is to increase oxygen flow to the muscles and to aid the body to remove the build up of toxins.

Lava Massage
Has all the benefits of a traditional relaxing massage, but with the added heat of the Lava Shells, which helps the massage penetrate ten times more effectively into deep muscle tissue and relieve any tension and pain held there. A Lava Shell massage at the Beauty Box offers a wonderful twist on a standard massage; the heat therapy warms you through to your bones and the essential oils calm mind and spirit, as the smooth shells massage all your aches and stresses away. Again oils can be chosen from a selection to Relax, Revive or Rejuvenate, you decide.

REIKI
Reiki is a type of complementary therapy. A reiki practitioner puts their hands lightly on or near your body. One of the main aims is to help you relax. The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation and the whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms.
A Reiki practitioner is not trained in diagnosis and will not offer any diagnosis or prognosis. If people are concerned about their symptoms, they should see a doctor. Benefits reported by clients include deep relaxation promoting a calm, peaceful sense of well being on all levels.
